Plug is the device utilizing blades which, when inserted into a receptacle, establishes connection between the conductors of the attached flexible cord and conductors connected to the receptacle.
The cable insertion port is L-shaped, facing 90 degrees to the blade, so the wire can be dropped straight down along the wall or panel.
The body is made of flame-retardant (UL94 V-0) nylon resin that is heat-resistant and tracking-resistant. The outer housing is made of flame-retardant (UL94 V-0 or higher) polycarbonate, an ultra-high-strength resin with excellent impact resistance.
There are two types of wire connection: a Crimping Terminal type that tightens the terminal screw, and a Push-in-screw Terminal type that uses the wire insertion hole.
Not only 2PNCT/VCT 3.5mm² wires, but also 5.5mm² wires, which are one size larger, can be connected (conductor size up). It is ideal for reducing current loss or for voltage drop countermeasures when long distance wiring is required.
After wiring, the main body and cover can be attached in four directions: up, down, left, and right, increasing the options for the direction in which the wires can be pulled out.
